Devotional Ritual

Join us for a devotional ritual to honor the Morrigan. We will be meeting monthly in sacred and safe space to connect with the Morrigan.

Details:
We will be meeting at the large oak tree near the parking lot on Azie Morton Road across from Umlauf’s Sculpture Garden.

Please feel free to bring an item to place on the altar and if you would like to, also bring an offering. Make sure that your offerings are natural and biodegradable but also know that we won't be leaving anything at the site in order to preserve the energy of the land and the environment. Also feel free to wear whatever clothing you feel is appropriate. We don’t mind children at our public events but please do keep in mind the nature of the Morrigan and what may arise for you in Her presence in ritual setting when making the decision to bring children with you.

Substance Use Policy:
In accordance with our core values and to maintain safe space, the Order of the Crows asks that you refrain from substance use during ritual. There will be alcohol available for offerings to our guardians and the Morrigan but we will not be consuming it. We will also have alternative offerings available.

Our focus for this group will be to learn how to combine the knowledge of historical context with our own personal experience of the Morrigan. We will continue our study, working through Part II of the Book of the Great Queen by Morpheus Ravenna, learning how to create devotional practice to honor Her in our lives today. We are currently reading from Chapter 13, Priesthood and Sovereignty. We will be continue from where we last left off on page 296. Reading ahead is not required. Everyone is welcome to join even if you were not able to join us for the prior meeting.

Lughnasadh Devotional Ritual

UPDATE: We will be meeting at a location on the San Marcos River. We won't be meeting right next to the springs for accessibility and weather purposes. The information for the center will be left in the description for all who are interested in visiting after ritual. 

Join us for a devotional ritual to honor the Goddess Macha. For the seasonal holidays this year we will be meeting the Morrigan, and Her sisters at sacred well sites throughout Central Texas. Our Lughnasadh event will be held at Aquarena Springs in San Marcos, Tx. 

Details: 
We will be doing ritual on flat ground at or near the springs for safety and accessibility. We may have to walk a short distance to reach our desired location. We do anticipate that it will be hot but we are also hoping for good shade. Please dress comfortably for the weather and bring water. More information about Aquarena Springs can be found here:

Beltane Devotional Ritual

Join us for a devotional ritual to honor the Morrigan. For the seasonal holidays this year we will be meeting the Morrigan at sacred well sites throughout Central Texas. Our Beltane event will be at Jacob's Well in Wimberley. We are meeting a few weeks after Beltane because some of our members will be traveling to Ireland in the beginning of May to celebrate. 

Details:

The Morrigan and The Dagda: The Red Mouthed Woman and The Good God

Land Sea Sky Travel is hosting a conference devoted to The Morrigan, The Dagda and Bealtaine, and it will be held online, Saturday, April 14 from 10:30 AM - 8:30 PM EST and Sunday, April 15 11:00-4:00 PM EST. The conference may be accessed from any phone, tablet, or computer.

The conference will provide a balanced mix of hands-on, devotional, and experimental practice with academic and lore-based studies. In addition, a chat room will be provided to facilitate building friendships and meeting others interested in The Morrigan and The Dagda

Speakers include: Lora O'Brien as the keynote speaker, Morgan Daimler, Morpheus Ravenna, Izzy Swanson, Scealai Beag, Inion Preachain, and others!

This month we will begin our study with the Book of the Great Queen by Morpheus Ravenna. We are going to begin our study in Part II of the book, learning how to create devotional practice to honor Her in our lives today. The first chapter we will be reading is Chapter 10, Land, Sanctuary, Tomb, and Temple. 

We will be reading in a round robin format and we will spend time discussing what we have read. The group is set up in this format to give everyone who wishes to join us an opportunity to learn and participate. We will have one or two extra copies of the book on hand for everyone to share. We will have a Zoom meeting setup to record the meeting for those who are out of town or unable to join us but we do encourage in person participation. International Overdose Awareness Day

Springing from a 2001 conversation between community health workers in Australia, centered on establishing a day of remembrance for those who have suffered from drug overdoses, the first International Overdose Awareness Day brought more than 6000 people together. Since then, International Overdose Awareness Day has spread to thounsands more around the world and been a key remembrance event for those who have died from fatal drug overdoses. On August 31 tens of thousands of people worldwide will stand alongside the friends and families of fatal overdose victims to reflect on those who have been lost. The event is organized on the understanding that no-one feel shame or disgrace or alone over a drug overdose, fatal or non-fatal.

Join us for an evening at the Women's Shamanic Wisdom Circle in Austin, TX. 

In this circle we will introduce you to the lore and mystery surrounding the many aspects of the Dark Goddess.

Join us as we explore the energy of this powerful goddess. We will journey to meet the Morrigan and learn the wisdom she has to teach us for the challenges we face in today’s world. Feel free to bring a biodegradable offering for Herself that will be taken to a place dedicated to her after Circle.
